The winners

FPA 2019 Winner:
Bibliotech

Bibiotech, a modern eTextbooks platform that integrates fully with all library and university systems, was crowned the overall winner of the third annual Future Planet Awards hosted by Future Planet Capital, on Tuesday 23 May in association with Global Corporate Venturing.

Bibliotech Education Ltd is a London-based startup spun out of University of Oxford Innovation Fund. The company is already working closely with a number of UK universities. The idea behind Bibliotech was conceived by one of the co-founders, Dave Sherwood, who realised that there was a gap in the e-reading market, with students having to buy physical textbooks for extortionate prices. Bibliotech's student offering gives affordable, direct access to a constantly expanding selection of books at any time, on any device.

Bibliotech's ground breaking search engine returns definitions, diagrams and examples, enabling students to learn and answer assessment questions faster than ever before. The institutional offer aims to give open, institution-wide access to a bespoke list of books on the same, industry-leading platform.
